Halloween at School: Grade 5

And here are my grade 5’s. This was probably my favourite activity with the best results. I was also most proud of how I weaved in the current lesson with this activity. We’re learning expressions like, “There’s a … in the …”. But instead of the usual “There’s a toilet in the bathroom”, I had them use Halloweeny phrases like “There’s a ghost in the haunted house” and “There’s a zombie in the graveyard”.

They seemed to really like it and went all out on the drawings. I was so proud of them! Yay! It’s almost like having maternal instincts! (But not at all).

  1. Wow!!! This is the stuff of nightmares. Are any of the kids ever going to go back to see their ancestors in the graveyard? Good job Marta. This is an exciting and dynamic
    way to teach.
