Today I found out that Avengers 2 is being filmed in Seoul. Maybe this is old news for most of you, but hearing that is making my fangirl soul bounce and quiver.
The fact that Joss Whedon is working on something less than two hours away from me is giving me rainbow shits of excitement.
It was my co-teacher who told me about it this afternoon, and my first thought was an unabashed, “I need to find a way to be an extra”. My bestie SSG has worked on a slew of movies as an extra in Montreal, including X-Men and Warm Bodies most recently (she’s in the opening scene as a jogger zombie!!!), and I’ve always been curious about what it would be like to forever be immortalized on the silver screen.
I’m definitely not one to seek out stardom – that’s my sister’s domain, theatre student as she is – but the opportunity to be involved in a Joss Whedon production. I mean, it’s Joss Whedon! Did I mention he’s pretty much God?
So anyway, I spent a fair portion of tonight researching how to apply for an extra position – if it’s possible. And that is if I can even manage, seeing as in the remote theoretical that I was selected, I doubt I’d be able to get the time off work.
But hey. No dream-popping, bubble-bursting, or heart-immolating allowed in this blog post!
Don’t know if this link is legit, but if there’s anyone in Korea at this time who’s interested and available for filming, it’s worth checking out. There’s already more than 1600 people vying for a background glory shot, and I will most likely be joining the herd (once I decide if this or any other website is actually for realz).
May my Joss Whedon dreams come true.
PS. As a note of the other most exciting thing to happen to me all day, I got a package in the mail from my dad of the best things anyone could ever want: books and tea ❤ thanks, Dad
