Squatters, Volleyball, Farm Animals, and a Hundred Other Excuses For Why This Isn’t About Namhae

I accidentally peed on my foot today. #squatterproblems

So not that this is an actual excuse for Namhae, but it does seguay nicely into other problems.

You see, my school seems to be thwarting my attempts at putting out Namhae Chapter 2 since today right when I had time and I was going to postpone Word Wednesday and everything for it, teachers had volleyball practice and had to drop everything two hours early.

Not that I could post Word Wednesday either since it’s the same situation…thus no WWXII either. (Lol had to use that acronym).

At this point, Namhae will happen when it happens: as an island, it’s only fitting that its adventures be divulged on island time.

In the meanwhile, here’s a preview of my first attempt of a uke/song accompaniment in one of my classes. I’ll be doing it tomorrow with my third graders since we’re learning animal sounds and the numbers 1-10. Andrea inspired me to try it since she learned a version to the tune of “The Wheels on the Bus” that worked really well. Hopefully I’ll not embarrass myself horrendously.

And here’s the direct link if that doesn’t work.

Sorry if the tempo’s really off, I swear I’m rhythmically challenged…

Oh and as a follow up to yesterday’s Bieber error, it actually turned out better than expected! Upon reading the translation to the lyrics everyone in the class was like, “EWW IT’S ABOUT LOVE!!!”

Totally would do it again just for their reactions.
