Swooping Quartet Surprise

A family of four baby birds flew into our English department yesterday. They dive bombed clumsily through the screenless windows, all feathers and keen chirps, and promptly got themselves befuddled, tangled, and full of dust as they fell behind bookshelves.

I managed to rescue one that fell behind my computer and my coworkers banded together to help guide the others back out the windows. (Luckily none got caught up in the overhead fans.) One was particularly stubborn and wouldn’t leave the kerchief HM was using to pick it up with, preferring to cling to it instead and then fly back inside directly at our faces.

Eventually they all found their way home, leaving behind only their droppings as proof of this weird encounter. Certainly was a nice way to break up the monotony of a work day though.

Anyway, a happy post for the weekend. Have a good one, guys!
