Another Suitcase, Another Set of Goodbyes

So I haven’t quite talked about my plans, but I’m going back to Canada tomorrow. It’s not a happy trip – or at least I’m not very happy about – but it needs to be done.

I’m still waiting for my Austrian passport/citizenship to be processed (giving me the right to live and work in the EU and by extension the UK), and between my tourist visa not lasting much longer, the steady depletion of my bank account, and the immigration trouble I had upon my entry to England, it’s back to Montreal for me.

It’ll be good to see my friends and family again, which is what I’m trying to focus on. Then there’s the fact that I can get a job again, have full access to my art supplies, and experience a Montreal summer again including comic con.

At the same time, it’s hard to say goodbye to life here – to Ricky.

I’m going to need a hell of a lot of strength to get through this. I’m hoping it won’t be longer than November until I’m back. Here’s hoping.

In the meantime, I’m off to enjoy the end of my last day.

Wish me luck, guys.

  1. All of luck and strength and hoping that there will be something that come of this phase of your journeys that makes it worth having been back…if only you could clone Ricky temporarily…
May it be an incredible final 24 hours!
