Keeping Crafty: Drafting a Woodcut

What better way to spend an afternoon than sipping cold jasmine tea and sketching? While in Japan, I had my glut of art supplies stores and loaded up on all kinds of carving rubber, printing ink, carving wood, and even stone jade for handmade chops! You may remember this image from my previous post, Busan’s Jagalchi Fish Market (In Photos). Today, I’m finally trying my hand at printing it, as promised. This is my first attempt with wood. Hope I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew!

The original image. Check out the rest of the post to see more photos from Jagalchi Market!

Happy Monday, everyone!
